Could I be an Activist?

In this mini-project, students gained a foundational understanding of the science of climate change while reflecting on their own potential to be activists. The students learned the basic science behind climate change and were challenged to develop their self-reflection and collaboration skills to explore the roles they could play in shaping a better future. As a class, they produced an issue of the Hakuba International School Newsletter, dated October 21, 2052. Working individually and in teams, the students created both dystopian and optimistic versions of the future, developing their writing skills and their ability to reference and build upon scientific research.
